Who We Are
Located at North Carolina State University's Centennial Campus, the Institute for Transportation Research and Education (ITRE) is host to the Commercial Vehicles and Safety Program. ITRE's support staff provides data analysis, geographic information and program evaluation support to the Motor Carrier Enforcement (MCE) section of the North Carolina State Highway Patrol (NCSHP).
What We Do
ITRE's support of the MCSAP and Size and Weight programs covers a wide range of technical and non-technical services. CVSP program analysis and evaluation constitute the majority of non-technical support. The technical support component of the MCSAP and Size and Weight programs are comprised of both on-demand custom analytic services and a range of web and GIS support services.
Our Staff
We are a multi‐disciplinary research group uniquely qualified for a wide variety of geospatial integration and analysis projects. Our small but highly focused specialty areas include:
